syslinux PXE Configuration for booting XEN Hosts via Network

This page describes the settings for getting XEN Hosts to boot from the network.

mboot.c32

First you have to copy the file mboot.c32 from the syslinux rpm to where your kernel resides on the tftp directory.

Configuration

The configuration file for booting from pxe should look as follows (pxeconfig.d/default):

LABEL xenrhel4
KERNEL mboot.c32
APPEND xen.gz-2.6.18-36.el5 --- vmlinuz-2.6.18-36.el5xen -- initrd-2.6.18-36.el5xen.img
