QA test of the YUM Repository

Description

The YUM repository is the main package source for the Open-Sharedroot Project and its integrity is very important for all installations. Because the preview channel is ever evolving as development changes the code, it is mandatory that the QA process is coordinated with development.

Steps To Reproduce

  1. Product management announces feature freeze and triggers the creation of the new release candidate channel (rc1).
  2. Check that the rc1 channel is available via http and all files have the right permissions.
  3. Document packages and versions in the rc1 channel.

Expected Results

  1. Feature freeze has been announced and new release candidate channel has been created (watch for the right timestamp!)
  2. The YUM channel is available via http and all files may be accessed (readonly).
  3. The documented packages match the packages from the last QA test. No packages are missing (unless they are merged or discontinued; see announcements).
